Dashboard: Duplicates

Duplicates scans your library and groups identical or near-identical photos, so you can compare each group and keep only the best one to free up storage.

Steps

1. Click Duplicates in the left sidebar.

   

2. Click Find duplicates. Kura-chan scans your library and groups duplicate photos.

3. Compare within each group and delete the ones you don’t need. Deleted photos move to the Trash; they aren’t permanently deleted right away.

AI similarity (paid feature)

Turn on AI similarity and Duplicates finds not just exact copies but also photos that look alike. Use the Similarity slider to adjust how strict the match is — the higher the value, the closer photos must be to land in the same group. On the free plan, only exact copies are found.

Troubleshooting

• It says No duplicates found. There are no duplicates in your library under the current settings. Add new photos and scan again, or turn on AI similarity to find similar (not identical) photos.

Next steps

If you delete something by mistake, restore it from the Trash.
